Bokio is good looking software, which does its best to follow FreeAgent’s lead in committing to jargon-free bookkeeping. It’s easy to navigate, and the menus are well designed and stop the screen getting too cluttered.

QuickBooks Online Review

Quickbooks Online is great to look at but is cumbersome and time consuming to use. We think this would be a great solution for businesses with relatively few transactions and businesses that like reports! If you’re not too concerned with the length of time it takes to enter transactions then Quickbooks Online is definitely worth a look.

Sage Business Cloud Review

We liked Sage Business Cloud Accounting and we think for a very small business without much or any bookkeeping experience this would make a great package. However, we did question if it was too basic, we think that as soon as a user got to grips with basic bookkeeping that they would want much more from this accounting software.

Zoho Books Review

Zoho Books is quite fussy, and this is a real obstacle when using it. Lots of the bookkeeping processes are overly fiddly, and can be difficult to understand. The software is also very slow, so heavy users will struggle.

We liked Kashflow and we really wanted it to score high (higher than it did). However there are certain things that let it down which is a real shame because with a few tweaks here and there it could be head and shoulders above the rest.
